Apartment Living

Tonight was a fun-filled night of air hockey at our complex.
We have a game room at our apartment complex that we live it.
It has: air hockey, billiards, darts, and foosball.
We let our competitive sides get the best of us.
Dustin won...

Here are a few pictures of our apartment:

when you walk in you see the living room:

Over the river and through the woods to grandmother's house we go

My B-E-A-UTIFUL GRANDMOTHER!
(soon to be a great-grandmother)

There is nothing better than grandma's home cookin'...
Last night, we enjoyed a wonderful homemade dinner at my grandmother's.

We had a Greek-like salad that you put inside a pita with scrambled eggs.
It was delightful!

Before dinner, we were given a tour of her place in which she resides.
However, as wonderful of a place that it is, it is currently under construction for improvements.
That doesn't stop grandma though.
Apparently 'Do Not Enter, Construction Personnel Only' really means come on in and show your family.
See Below.

All in all it was a fun-filled night with lots of conversation, laughs, and games.

Preggers??

I AM PREGNANT!!

This morning was our 3rd Dr. Appointment.

I am 12 Weeks pregnant.
I am in my 2nd trimester.
(This means no more scary miscarriage worries.)

I have not yet gained any weight!
Keyword was -YET- in that last statement.

The babies heartbeat is strong.
155 heartbeats per minute.
It sounds so lovely!!

Everything has been great so far! I have not yet had any morning sickness and now that I am in my 2nd trimester I most likely won't. I was very tired the first two months, but I now have all my energy back and I am loving every minute of my pregnancy. I could not ask to be with a better person as Dustin is there with me every step of the way. My favorite part is that he loves going to the appointments with me!! This is such a wonderful experience.

British Accent

It was an accident! I swear! I was just really, really, did I say really tired!!

Tonight Dustin and I went over to a friends house for dinner. Steak. Sweet Corn. Red Baked Potatoes. Delicious! Well, friends were visiting in town from Germany. They are lots of fun! My favorite thing about one of them is that they learned English in London and so when she talks in English she has a British accent rather than a German accent like when she talks in German.

--This is a key part of the story.--

After dinner we were all on the back patio conversing about a little bit of everything. Well, I was extremely tired and when I am tired my brain does not function properly... when I went to say something I apparently had a strong British accent. It was really embarrassing, but funny at the same time. At first my friend thought that I might be making fun of her or something, but then Dustin called me out on it and we all started laughing as I was trying to apologize. The sad part about this is that when I want to try and pretend I have a fun accent it never comes out right. I just have to wait until I am tired and around someone who speaks in the accent I want to talk in and it will happen totally unexpectedly and unplanned.

One Year

HAPPY 1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY!!!

I received these lovely flowers and card on our anniversary.
It was adorable.
The flowers smelt amazing.
I love pink.
The card was perfect.
It reads:
(outside) - I looked at you and saw a part of me. I spoke your name as though I had said it a thousand times before. I held your hand and found it fit perfectly within my own.
(inside) - some things are just meant to be. Happy Anniversary.

And that it was...
We were just meant to be.
5 fingers.
Love you always!!!

Cloudy with a Chance of Meat Balls

We got to see this movie tonight and it was great!

A friend of mine at my work had won two tickets to see this movie tonight, but unfortunately (for her) was not able to make it and was nice enough to share the tickets with Dustin and I. We were excited because it was our first 3D movie. Plus, we love fun kid movies like this. It is a fun movie that seemed to keep both the kids and their parents laughing though out.

how it all started...

09/06/08 we met for the first time... It was a great night. I was with a good friend of mine, Natalie, and all I wanted to do that night is watch the UFC fights. It was going to be great! We went to her friends house who was hosting the fight and that is where I met the love of my life, Dustin. I learned a few things that he loves about women: Soft Long Hair, Great Smell, Cute & Clean Feet, and Shoes. Apparently I passed the test, yay!! Through out the night he would come find me and put his arm around me and we would have short little conversations. One point in the night he put his arm around me and said, "YOU are going to be my girlfriend. Just Watch." I laughed it off and probably called him a dork or a nerd or something like that. He walked around and went to all of his friends and was asking them if we looked cute together and if we should be together. They all said yes which just made him believe even more that I should be his. It was a great night, but needless to say we didn't exchange phone numbers.

A few days later, I received a text message from a completely random phone number. It was him. He had asked about 10 people the next day if anyone of them knew who I was. No one did because I went as a friend of a friend. Finally, he asked his friend to get a hold of my friend who in returned gave my number out (after my approval, of course!). Anyways, we started talking and we never stopped. Everyday from dawn til dusk we would be on the phone with each other. We were never not talking it was crazy. We lived about 45 min away from each other so that is all we could do; the drive was just too long. Finally, we set up our first date.

09/19/08 our first official date... We wanted to get dinner after work. We went out to get sushi at a local place on his side of town and then drove out to Lake Pleasant. We laid on the hood of the car starring at the stars in the sky and the reflection of the moon on the water. It was so beautiful. So peaceful. Butterflies filled our tummy's. Both of us were nervous, but never admitted it. We kept the conversation flowing the entire time with not one awkward moment. Laughing at each other jokes and funny stories. It was almost as if we were filming a movie. We even had the first kiss before the night ended. It was a lovely night. The best one I have ever had.

09/21/08 boyfriend and girlfriend... I was over at his place and it was maybe early afternoon. We were just hanging out having a good time. He was playing the guitar and singing. We were talking. We were laughing. We were head over heels for each other. I got up and went into the bathroom. I may have washed my hands, brushed my teeth, fixed my hair, or fixed my make-up... one of those things we girls do. He came in behind me and turned me around and sat me on the counter. He told me all the things he liked about me one by one with a little kiss between each one. At the end of the list he asked me if I would be his grilfriend and I said yes.

It is now almost a year later and we have nothing but unconditional love for one another in which we will never let fade away into the background.

Welcome

I would just like to welcome everybody to our blog. I feel this is a great way to for our friends and family to be able to see how we are doing and keep in touch, especially those who live a little ways away from us. It is also fun to keep this to look back on the memories for kicks and giggles. I hope you enjoy our blog! We will see how long this goes for.
